Australia’s David Warner will again lead Sunrisers Hyderabad into the 2021 IPL.
The opening batsman was one of a number of stars retained by SRH, alongside the likes of Jason Holder and Mohammad Nabi.

Sunrisers Hyderabad History
Formed in 2012, the Sunrisers replaced Deccan Chargers in the IPL.
This was after the league terminated the Hyderabad based Chargers for breach of contract.
Sunrisers won the subsequent bid for the franchise. And they have been Hyderabad’s IPL representative ever since.
2016 seen the franchises sole IPL victory. In the final at Bengaluru, David Warner led the Sunrisers to an eight run victory over RCB.
Warner led the way with 69 from 38 balls as the Sunrisers scored a mammoth 208/7 from their 20 Overs. In the reply, a Chris Gayle inspired Royal Challengers Bangalore capitulated. In sight of the finish line, RCB went from 140/1 off 12.4 Overs, to 200/7 off their 20 Overs.
To date, this is the only time the Sunrisers have won the Indian Premier League.

Former notable SRH players include India’s Yuvraj Singh and Ishant Sharma. From overseas, we have seen Sri Lanka’s Kumar Sangakkara, and West Indies’ Darren Sammy.
