TKR vs SLK Betting Tips 14th September 2021
So here we are, the first semi-final of the 2021 CPL, and it’s defending champions Trinbago Knight Riders against last year’s beaten finalists, St Lucia Kings.
The Knight Riders topped the table with just 12 points from their ten matches, requiring NRR to finish above GAW and St Kitts & Nevis, who both also finished the group stages on 12 points.
While for St Lucia, they still qualified in 4th place, despite losing to bottom of the table Barbados Royals on the final day of the group stage.
Jamaica Tallawahs couldn’t find the win they needed to pip St Lucia to fourth spot, losing their final group match to Guyana on Sunday.
Neither side comes into this match in particularly great form. In the group stages, Trinbago won six and lost four. While St Lucia won five and lost five.
Who do I think will win this match then? With all the teams beating each other this season, predicting results in this year’s CPL hasn’t been too easy.
In head-to-head from the group stages, it’s one apiece. St Lucia won match 7 of the competition by 5 runs. While in match 9, Trinbago were the victors by a larger 27 runs.
So i’m sticking with form here. I think Trinbago are the better side, they won the head-to-head by a larger winning margin, so Trinbago are my tip to win the first semi-final.
