The 2014 IPL is under way and as well as giving new customers a £50.00 Free Bet, Paddy Power are also offering one of their famous money back specials throughout the duration of the whole tournament.
If any Indian Premier League fixture is decided on the final ball of the match, then Paddy Power will refund all losing match bets. Just to be clear, a match bet is Team A to beat Team B (ie, Chennai Super Kings to beat Delhi Daredevils).
This applies to single bets only. The maximum refund is €/£100.00 per customer, and the match bet has to be placed pre match (in-play bets won’t count). The chasing team (team batting second) have to be within 6 runs of the target amount when the last ball of the match is bowled, and refunds will not apply if the chasing team’s innings is reduced to less than 15 Overs.
What this basically means is that both teams must be able to win the game off the final ball of the match. So this offer won’t apply to a team who gets bowled out 20 runs short and lose the game of the last ball of the match.
An example of how the bet does work is – Place a bet on Chennai to win their match against Delhi before the game starts. Chennai bat first and score 150 runs in their 20 Overs. Then Delhi bat and they are 148/4 with one ball left in the match.
In this instance both Delhi and Chennai can win off the final ball of the match. So if Delhi win, your bet on Chennai obviously loses, and you are entitled to your money back.
